Turkey Chili for a Chilly Day

There are so many beautiful things about this recipe; it's a crowd pleaser, the flavors are even better the next day, it freezes well and it's healthy!

- Olive oil
- 1 Onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 lb of ground turkey
- 1 can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tbs of chili powder
- splash of red wine vinegar (or wine)
- 2 cans of black beans
- 1 cup of freshly shucked corn (or substitute with frozen corn)
- Pinch of ground oregano
- pinch of ground basil

Saute onion and garlic until translucent
Add ground turkey and brown
Add Crushed Tomatoes (You can use fresh if you prefer)
Add Spices: (Chili powder, oregano, and basil)
Add Beans and Corn
Simmer on low for 45 mins
When serving garnish with chopped avocado, cheddar cheese, sour cream and chopped green onion. Serve with corn tortilla chips, a fresh green salad, Bloody Mary's and/or cold beer.
